We had the opportunity to shoot our first ever destination wedding in May this year. Becca and Adam's wedding was one the most beautiful and unforgettable marriages we have ever seen.
The couple got married in Bagni di Lucca, Tuscany. We traveled with the rest of the family and friends a few days ahead of the main day. We had the most amazing and fun-filled time in nearby Lucca.
On the wedding day, we headed over to the main venue which was just as stunning. Agriturismo La Torre in Bagni di Lucca. The wedding destination was to live for. It was 200 meters on sea level and had a dominating position in the valley. The building was stunning with its rich and dated vintage vibe. The origins of the historic building date back to 1906. For a long time, it was the house of the wealthy Clark sisters. The stunning building was abandoned in the 90s when the Tintori family bought La Torre and restored it to its original splendor and beauty. There couldn’t have been a more gorgeous place than this to get married. It provided a beautiful backdrop for the wedding ceremony and the pictures turned out magically stunning.
Alex and I worked alongside Scottish photographer Stevie Weir. We spend the day with Becca and her bridesmaids capturing the ladies as they dressed and glammed up for the big day. Becca and her bridesmaids got ready in the heat before the rest of the wedding party arrived in the afternoon for the main ceremony that was to be held at 4 pm. The wedding ceremony itself was no less than a beautifully painted fairytale. The ceremony took place high up in the ground just in front of the ancient chapel with the stunning backdrop of the valley below. The ancient walls of the chapel added a flair of elegance to the entire ceremony. The guests enjoyed and adored the couple as they held hands and exchanged their vows.
When the ceremony came to an end, we had the most amazing time interacting with the family members and capturing footage for the wedding films. Raw moments of emotions like these are what we live for. Capturing happy faces of both sides of the family and friends put a smile on our faces as well. Once we were done with family photographs, we took the newlywed couple down the village to capture their perfect moments together after the ceremony. This was later followed by a beer and ice cream. The locals congratulated and cheers as we walked through the valley. Both Becca and Adam were overwhelmed by the good wishes and it made a beautiful memory for the couple to cherish. After that, we headed back to the venue for speeches which were followed by a lavish meal. All of the guests partied late into the night and we had an amazing time capturing all the fun moments of Becca and Adam's perfect day. In the end, we would like to extend a special thanks to the staff of Agriturismo La Torre and Lisa from Hitched in Italy who arranged this beautiful day and made everything so perfectly stunning.
